In Greater Poland, and also nationally, the insurgent tradition is alive and proudly cultivated. This work is dedicated to the locations of events, the most interesting battles, and insurgent actions related to the Greater Poland Uprising. Using the time bar on the subportal, it is also possible to change the period of presented data to one of the most significant historical periods for the Polish state, as the Greater Poland Uprising had a significant impact on shaping the borders of the Second Polish Republic, as shown in this cartographic study. The map composition “In the footsteps of the history of Greater Poland” presenting information related to the Greater Poland Uprising was awarded the main prize in the “Internet Map of the Year 2024” competition, organized under the patronage of the Surveyor General of Poland by the Association of Polish Cartographers.
